Founder and principal performer of Flashback Music Memories, Deborah Garrett is a cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Smith College with a degree in Developmental Psychology (specializing in the early and late years of life), and a minor in Vocal Performance. Deborah has over 20 years professional singing experience spanning opera, musical theatre, Big Band and the Great American Songbook. Read more on her bio page. She started Flashback Music Memories in 2008.

Milinda Meehan

Milinda is a highly talented and experienced professional singer. In addition to singing, she also provides activities and training for our company. Her sultry tones are heard in a wide variety of venues, incuding jazz, cabaret, Big Band and Musical Theatre. She performs Duo Vintage Shows with Deborah, is a member of The Girls Next Door 1940's Vocal Trio, and performs solo shows in a variety of different decades and genres.

Valerie Behmerwohld

Valerie is a retired teacher who specialized in special education and tutoring at the High School level. She is our Hi-Level Trivia Expert, promotes the benefits of Exercise, and enjoys helping the elderly keep in shape physically and mentally.

Ester Clewans

Ester was born in Buenos Aires and has also lived in Israel. She is a true performer and engages the audience with her vibrant energy and beautiful voice. In addition to English, she also speaks and sings in Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew. Her Latin Rhythm & Music Activity and Breathing Exercises & Singalong sessions are audience favorites. Her music performances include Musical Theatre, Opera, Spanish Songs & Vintage Favorites.

Jennifer Lak

Jennifer is a former teacher and is passionate about the benefits of exercise, particularly for Seniors. She is a Fitness and Aquatics Instructor with Senior communities and centers and LA Fitness. For Flashback, she combines exercise and trivia to promote healthy bodies and minds for the board & care residents. Her certifications include: Senior Strength Training Specialist, Nationally Certified Arthritis Foundation in Land based Exercise, CPR, First Aid, AED and is currently working on a certification as a Personal Trainer for the American Senior Fitness Association.

Dayna Laramie

Dayna was with us for two years before transferring to ASU to study Music Therapy. We are fortunate to have her back here as a substitute during holidays and vacations. She is an engaging performer and an audience favorite!

Jean-Luc Rollando

 Jean-Luc Rollando is one of our LA-based singers available for weekly entertainment. He is an audience favorite for his jazz-inspired renditions of classic standards and his ability to engage with the residents. He sings to tracks and piano. See him in action below!
