Deborah Garrett, founder/owner

Founder and principal performer Deborah Garrett has over 20 years professional singing experience spanning opera, sacred music, musical theatre, and Big Band. She is co-founder of "The Girls Next Door 1940's vocal trio" and specializes in popular songs from the 1920's through 1950's.

Deborah is a cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Smith College with a degree in Developmental Psychology (specializing in the early and late years of life), and a minor in Vocal Performance.

Deborah has always had a desire to truly make a difference in people’s lives, and particularly enjoys bringing joy to those in Assisted Living facilities.

She was an Activities Director for Living Made Easier(SM) for three years, providing weekly Activities & Music for the elderly in "Board & Care’s" and private homes. In 2009, she acquired the activity business from LME, and is proud to have increased the number of clients, houses and sessions to continue the legacy of high-quality programming that Terese Walton and Living Made Easier(SM) began.

Oh, and in case you're wondering about the difference in hair color...while it is common to wear a wig or hairpiece in performance, Deborah started highlighing her brunette locks about a year ago...and just kept going. She has indeed found that "Blonde's have more fun!"
